Mr. Tinoush Dinn

Dr. Tinoush Dinn has been with BASF Corporation since 2015 as Senior Global Process & Chemical Engineering Research team Research Engineer. As a member of the solids processing group, Dr. Dinn supports BASF North America and global operations and performs R&D, process development, scale-up (lab to pilot and plant), process design, and optimization for Solid-Liquid & Membrane Separation Processes. Before this position, he worked as a research engineer and project manager in multiple industries, such as mining & minerals, oil & gas, and water & wastewater treatment, for over 12 years with backgrounds in operation, design, research, modeling, and simulation of separation processes.  

He earned his MSc and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Manchester (UMIST), England. His Ph.D. focused on innovative design and analysis of solid-liquid separation processes. He has 7+ patent applications and published 12+ papers. Dr. Dinn served on the organizing committee of the 13th World Filtration Congress (WFC13) and was co-chair of the health track, poster judge, and moderator of multiple sessions in WFC13.  Dr. Dinn has also served on FiltCon 2023 as a moderator of multiple sessions in the Liquid Track.  He is currently a member of the AFS board of directors, education and scientific committees, and co-chair of FiltCon 2024.
